Education, License and Certifications:
Catherine E. Foytik, LISW-S, CRMP, CRP, ACHT, CPTL received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Social Work from Cleveland State University. She attended the Institute of Holistic Health Careers and receives ongoing education and hands on training through The Wellness Institute. Catherine is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervisory Designation in the State of Ohio (LISW-S), Certified Relaxation Massage Practitioner (CRMP), Certified Reiki Practitioner (CRP), Certified Advanced Clinical Heart-Centered Hypnotherapist (ACHT) and Certified Personal Transformation Leader (CPTL). Trained in Subtle Energy. Trained in The Bardo (The Tibetan Book of the Dead ceremony for individuals and their families preparing for end of life transition). In addition, she is an Independent Consultant for DoTerra and trained in AromaTouch Therapy. Catherine is currently working towards her doctorate in Transpersonal Psychology.

Catherine has been a long time member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and Phi Alpha National Social Work Honour Society. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, National Association of Social Workers, Parma Area Chamber of Commerce and Unite This City. In 2013, Catherine's business received an award from "Best of Cleveland 2013" in the mental health category and was nominated for several other awards in the holistic health category throughout 2013 and early into 2014. One of these nominations included the Fox 8 Cleveland's Hot List "Best Yoga Studio" category.
Catherine was also a member of the Miami Jacobs College advisory board for their Massage Therapy program during 2013 through March 2014, where she took on two of their graduates to employ, mentor and teach them more intensely on her integrated approach. She participated in COSE's Wellness Summit by special invite only, which included nationally recognized professionals. Approximately 30 wellness specialists Nationwide were invited to this, and she was one of them! Between 2013 and 2014 she participated as a field instructor for Cleveland State University's Master of Social Work Program and supervised 5 Social Work interns for their first year placements. Most recently, she has been invited to be a member of The International Women's Leadership Association through recognition of her outstanding business and leadership skills.
Catherine has over fourteen years of professional experience in
the field and has a specialized training in an integrated holistic approach to healing. She has a unique incorporation of the mind, body and soul through her eclectic approach. Her experiences consist of working
with individuals, families, groups and couples of all ages, races and orientations in both private and public facilities.
She has worked extensively with multiple and or dual diagnosis clients; trauma; grief and bereavement issues; crisis interventions; crisis response teams; self-image distortions; Eating Disorders; Depression; Anxiety; Bipolar; PTSD; Borderline Personality Disorders, Phobias, Adjustment Disorders; ADHD; Gender Identity, Substance Abuse/Dependency; Developmentally Delayed; Autism Spectrum Disorders; and many more.
Catherine has extensive experience with resistant clients; clients who have been court ordered or adjudicated and who are challenged by everyday stressors consisting of, but not limited to: worries about basic needs; employment issues; parenting concerns, custody disputes, relationship conflicts, eating disorders, gender identity and many more!
She has also worked extensively with victims of trauma (PTSD), and this is where her passion lies; Helping those reclaim their lives after near death and horrific experiences. Catherine's work with trauma is endless and consists of the following: victims of sexual abuse, victims who have been held captive and endured enormous trauma, child abuse & neglect, domestic violence, bullying, crisis situations (homicides/suicides/rapes/school shooting/school violence), veterans and many more.
Catherine is trained, certified and or experienced in the use of the following modalities: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Structural Family Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Psychoanalytical Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Group Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Integrated Holistic Health, Heart Centered Hypnotherapy, Integral Breath Therapy, Massage, Reiki, and Subtle Energy, along with many others. Catherine demonstrates an eclectic and customized approach for each of her clients, as she understands that what works for one may not work for another.
Catherine has experience with a variety of religions, cultures, ethnicity and backgrounds and is understanding and respectful of all. She assesses each client and develops a unique treatment plan based on each client's needs.
She has dealt with some of the most difficult cases throughout her work within agency and private practice settings. She is known as the "go-to" person for advocacy, resources and helping clients who are extremely resistant to change and known to struggle to make progress with other professionals.
